Etrel offers a range of AC charging stations for residential, commercial, workplace, and public charging applications, including INCH Duo, INCH Pro, INCH Home, and INCH Lite.
Etrel charging stations can operate without an internet connection, depending on the configuration. However, internet connectivity is recommended for remote monitoring, firmware updates, OCPP backend system communication, diagnostics, and remote configuration.
Depending on the model, Etrel charging stations support Ethernet, Wi-Fi, LTE/4G, OCPP, and Modbus TCP communication.
All models support OCPP 1.6 JSON, except INCH Lite.
All Etrel charging stations are designed for outdoor installation, provided they are installed in accordance with the installation manual.
INCH Pro and INCH Home can be mounted onto a wall or on a pole. INCH Duo can only be floor-mounted.
Selected INCH Pro and INCH Home models support certified MID energy meters. All INCH Duo models have certified MID meters installed as standard.
Depending on the model, the charging station may include physical residual current detection (RCD). The required external protection depends on local regulations, charging station configuration, and the installation manual.
The charging station continues operating according to its configured offline behaviour. Depending on the configuration, it may continue charging, allow only authorised RFID cards, reject new charging sessions, and operate with predefined fallback settings.
After power is restored, the charging station can automatically resume the interrupted charging session if the Start charging after power loss functionality is enabled in the MyINCH web interface.
Charging behaviour after a power loss also depends on the charging station configuration, other applicable settings, and local regulations and requirements. Consider these factors when configuring this functionality.
For detailed instructions, refer to the corresponding user manual or visit the Etrel Knowledge Centre.
The minimum charging current according to IEC 61851 is 6 A per phase. Values below 6 A will stop charging.
Dynamic current limitation is supported by using supported external energy meters for Dynamic Load Management (DLM, EMS, Modbus, and Cluster Power Management).
Etrel charging stations support a wide range of RFID and NFC technologies, including:
Support may vary depending on the charging station model and configuration.
Yes. RFID credentials stored locally on the charging station remain available for authentication even when the charging station is offline. The charging station can store up to 500 RFID credentials locally.
Yes. Firmware can be updated remotely via OCPP (where supported) and through the MyINCH web interface.
Yes. The configuration is retained unless otherwise specified in the release notes.
Yes. Etrel charging stations support several options for managing the available charging power:
The appropriate solution depends on the installation, the number of charging stations, the available electrical capacity, and the required level of integration with the site’s energy management system.
Yes. Photovoltaic (PV) systems can be integrated with the charging station through a supported external Energy Management System (EMS).
The EMS monitors the available energy and adjusts the charging power accordingly, allowing the charging station to use available PV-generated energy while taking other loads and the overall power availability at the installation into account.
The exact functionality and configuration depend on the selected EMS, installation setup, and supported communication interface.
Yes. Etrel charging stations can use a supported external energy meter for Dynamic Load Management (DLM).
The meter measures the real-time power consumption of the building or electrical installation. Based on this information, the available power can be dynamically allocated to the charging station or stations, helping to prevent the configured site power limit from being exceeded.
Depending on the installation and configuration, this can be achieved using Etrel Load Guard or other supported external energy meters.
Compatibility depends on the charging station model, firmware version, meter type, communication interface, and system configuration.
A list of currently supported external energy meters is available in the Etrel Knowledge Centre.
MyINCH is the local web interface of the charging station. It allows users and service personnel to access information about the charging station, check its current status, and configure supported settings. MyINCH is accessed locally through a web browser while connected to the charging station’s network.
Depending on the charging station model, firmware version, configuration, and user access level, MyINCH can provide access to information and settings such as:
For detailed instructions and available settings, refer to the corresponding user manual or the Etrel Knowledge Centre.
The MyINCH Dashboard provides an overview of the charging station’s current operation and charging history, allowing users to monitor charging station usage and analyse previous charging sessions.
Depending on the charging station model, firmware version, configuration, and user access level, users can view information such as:
For detailed information and instructions, visit the Etrel Knowledge Centre.
Depending on the charging station model and configuration, Etrel charging stations support several connectivity options for communication with a central system and other network services:
The charging station switches to the configured fallback current. If the fallback current is configured below 6 A, charging stops.
Yes. INCH Duo can be equipped with an integrated contactless payment terminal, allowing EV drivers to pay for charging sessions using a supported credit or debit card.
Depending on the selected configuration and payment solution, supported NFC payment terminals include Payter P66 and Payter Apollo.
The payment functionality requires appropriate configuration and integration with a supported payment service or Charge Point Management System (CPMS). Availability of specific payment terminals and payment methods may depend on the market, payment provider, and local requirements.
Yes. Multiple charging stations can be configured as part of a payment cluster, allowing a single payment terminal to be used for payments across several charging points.
In this configuration, charging stations without their own payment terminal can be associated with a charging station equipped with a supported payment terminal. The user selects the desired charging point using its unique identification or friendly code and completes the payment at the payment terminal.
Correct configuration and mapping of the charging points are required for payment cluster functionality.
The supported configuration may depend on the payment terminal, central system, and payment service provider used.
Diagnostic logs can be collected using MyINCH web interface and OCPP diagnostics, where supported.
Yes. Technical support may request diagnostic logs to investigate faults and communication issues.
Periodic inspection is recommended in accordance with local regulations and the installation manual.
Typical checks include:
Yes. A factory reset can be performed using the appropriate service procedure, depending on the charging station model.
