STANDARDIZED TESTING PROTOCOLS FOR EUROPEAN CHARGING SYSTEMS
Description
CONCEPTS, CAPACITIES AND METHODS FOR TESTING EV SYSTEMS AND THEIR INTEROPERABILITY WITHIN THE SMART GRIDS
The COTEVOS project strived to promote widespread adoption of electric vehicles by focusing on improving compatibility between EVs, charging equipment and other connected systems. The project investigated functionalities and requirements of different systems used in EV charging.
Optimal structures, capacities and procedures were defined for testing the conformance, interoperability and performance of the different technologies involved in smart charging of electric vehicles.
ETREL CONTRIBUTION
Etrel’s activities in the project were focused on consolidation of requirements and procedures for testing the interface between the charging stations and the charge point’ operator’s control centre.
Standardised testing procedures will reduce time to market for new charging equipment and ensure unified verification of the compatibility for all systems used in EV charging.
